Easter Part III

On Easter weekend we went to Kerrville to celebrate with Nana and Grandpa. Nick, Heather, Tadd and Elissa were all there. On Easter eve we went strawberry picking and to the frontier farm and LBJ Ranch. That night we dyed MORE eggs. Sunday morning we found the kid's Easter baskets, went to church and then had an Easter egg hunt in the back yard. On Monday we caravaned back to Houston and stopped in Brenham to take the Blue Bell Creamery tour. They were sold out, so we had ice cream bars at a nearby park.

All the Easter pictures are HERE

Easter Part II

The Sunday before Easter Friendswood has its annual Easter Egg hunt. It is huge! The number of eggs and kids is amazing. The mere minutes it takes the kids to gather all those eggs is even more amazing.

Easter Part I

Sean's 3rd Easter started out at Grandma and Dziadziu's house. He had his first Easter egg hunt and then dyed eggs for the first time.

Lordy, Lordy, look who's 40!

Happy birthday Dave!

Rodeo Houston

The last two Sundays we spent a lot of time at the Rodeo and Livestock Show. Last week we were at the Livestock show. Sean got to spend time with chicks, chickens, lambs, pigs and cows. This past Sunday we went to a calf roping event, the pig races and a ZZ Top concert. Sean loves his boots and tolerates his hat that is too small for him.

Rodeo Parade

A couple of weeks ago we took Sean to his first Rodeo Parade. The parade is huge and takes over an hour to go by. Before the parade begins the Rodeo Run starts, which Barbara ran. Grandma and Dziadziu came to watch and we also met up with cousin Elissa and Nick. Heather, a long time volunteer, was busy elsewhere doing crowd control.

I Can Keep Myself Awake! Maybe Not

Early February: Aunt Kathy and Alton Visit

In early February Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dennis came all the way from North Carolina to visit. They did a lot of bird watching and a lot of Sean watching.

Friend's 3rd B-day party (and a super Superbowl)

Last Saturday Sean went to his friend's 3rd birthday party. She had lots of friends there as well as a couple of blow-up jump toys and a tumble bus (think school bus with no seats but gym equipment.)

David and B-Day girl's older sister hold the parachute while Sean and B-day girl prepare to run under it.

Queen B-day girl sits on the parachute!

Grandma and Sean contemplate the most important part of a Superbowl party - the food. Thanks Dan and Margie!

Sean's B-Day - the Day After

Nick, Heather and Elissa spent the night after Sean's party. The morning was fun family time.

Sean's 2nd Birthday Part II

Sean as friends and family get ready to sing "Happy Birthday!"

Sean had a great time at his Saturday birthday party. We have never seen him so animated for so long. He did not go to bed until 11pm!

He had all his grandparents and many of Barbara and Dave's friends families in attendance. All the kids had a good time.

The theme of the party was, of course, Cars the movie.

After several Christmas parties and his first 2nd birthday he had the present deal down. At one point he was found on the ground, with his chin in his hands, staring at his presents. After everyone sang "Happy Birthday" he refused to eat cake or ice cream because he wanted open presents.

Sean truly had a great birthday - thanks to all who could participate!

Just like having 3 Christmas celebrations Sean will have two birthdays: one at his Pasta grandparent's on his actual birthday and one the next Saturday with many more attendees.

Dziadziu made a backhoe cake!

Sean was a little taken a back by the cake, but had fun blowing out the candles
